Modeling and corpus methods in experimental philosophy

Research in experimental philosophy has increasingly been turning to corpus methods produce evidence for empirical claims, as they open up new possibilities testing linguistic claims or studying concepts across time and culture. The present article reviews the quasi-experimental studies that have done using textual data from corpora philosophy, with an eye modeling design enable statistical inference. I find most forego comparisons could control confounds, only a little less than half employ chance results. Furthermore, at least some researchers make decisions either do not take into account nature of word-concept relationship, undermine experiment's capacity answer research questions. suggest both provide more powerful gain mainstream acceptance by improving their practices.
